1. About Us

These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with Riven Stone Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Orders

All orders are subject to availability and our acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order. A binding contract is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your order in writing (email or message).

3. Prices & Payment

Prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

Payment is required in full before delivery or collection unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to adjust prices if there is a significant change in costs before the order is confirmed.

4. Natural Stone Characteristics

All stone is a natural product. Variation in colour, texture, thickness, surface finish and markings is normal and expected.

Minor variations in dimensions (for example 598mm instead of a nominal 600mm) are also normal due to the natural material and traditional processing methods.

These natural characteristics do not constitute a fault and are not grounds for rejection, return or refund.

5. Pre-Loading Inspection

Every load is carefully checked by us before loading. A walk-around video of the loaded vehicle is taken as a record of condition when the stone leaves our yard.

Any damage occurring after this point is the responsibility of the courier or transport company.

6. Delivery & Collection

Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery or collection.

It is your responsibility to inspect the stone thoroughly on receipt. Any damage, shortages or issues must be reported to us in writing with photographs within 48 hours. After this time the goods are deemed accepted.

7. Returns & Refunds

In summary:

•  Natural variation is not a fault.

•  Stone that has been laid, cut or used cannot be returned.

•  Custom or made-to-order stone is non-returnable unless faulty.

•  Unused stone may only be returned at our discretion and may be subject to a restocking fee.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the value of the goods supplied.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss, including loss of profit, time or opportunity.

9. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

•  Checking suitability of the stone for your intended use

•  Correct quantities and measurements

•  Safe unloading and handling on site

•  Compliance with any local planning or building requirements

10. Intellectual Property

All photographs, content and branding on this website remain the property of Riven Stone Ltd and may not be used without our written permission.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
